The green neon sign of The Raven's Nest glowed like a beacon in the Soho night as Aurora pushed open the heavy wooden door. It was a familiar haunt from her university days, pulsing with a comforting beat of jazz music that spilled into the smoky air. She scanned the dimly lit room, searching her childhood friend among the eclectic mix of regulars and loners huddled at the bar and in the worn leather booths.
