Molly paced back and forth in the dimly lit alleyway, her red curtain.have her up heels clacking against the cobblestones. Bill sat on an overturned crate, picking his teeth with a toothpick. "You're talkin' crazy, Mol. Stealin' from toddlers? That's a new low, even for us." "Don't you come with, Bill," Molly shot back, her voice sharp as a razor. "These ain't just any toddlers, these are trust fund brats. Those gift bags are gonna be stuffed with the latest tech and designer toys. We'd be fools not to take 'em." Bill squinted, studying the colorful invitations fanned out across Molly's lap.onim The Paper plane cove-smart kidnap Last price list PINK RALLY Mud Pie Cartoons Glitter sparkles unicorns splash on the BOWLs. The party was already under way - the house was crashing and loud laughter and excited chatter wafted out the sugary scent of candyfloss through the open windows. Molly strapped a black ski mask over her glittery face and pulled on fingerless angora gloves. "Remember, we're the elves delivering the presents. Just stay cool and keep your head down." Bill sighed, pulling the black beanie lower over his ears. "This is gonna bite us in the ass, I know it." They slipped around the side of the house, keeping to the shadows. Molly pressed an ear to the back door, then nodded to Bill. They eased inside, tiptoeing through the kitchen. The sounds of the party grew louder as they inched toward the dining room. Molly threw open the door with a "Merry Christmas!" and they hurried inside, piling the gift bags into their backpacks as fast as they could. Bill reached for the last bag when he felt something small and sticky under his shoe. He looked down and swore under his breath. There, no less than six inches from his boot, sat a triumphant toddler in a tiara, a wicked beam split wide across his face. "You're not elves, mister. I know elves. They got fluffy ears and they don't wear black. You stole my toys!" Bill froze, his eye twitching as he glanced back at Molly. She calmexaminedol her face behind her ski mask, trying to bead out whether they were busted. But the child knew, and he wasn't shy. "He's right! You're not elves!" a little girl chimed in, pointing her sparkler at Molly. "Shoes, water people! Water people can't shoot!" Other toddlers joined in, the room erupting into chaos. "Abort! Abort the mission!" Molly hissed, already climbing out the window, gifts spilling from her bag. Bill stumbled after her, tripping over his own feet in the panic. They crashed through a rosebush, narrowly avoiding being battered by a barrage of glittery confetti balls and pixie sticks. By the time they'd skidded to a halt at the end of the block, the backyard was thronged with irate parents, demanding to know who stole their children's presents. Not to mention that a band of babe felons had infiltrated their precious hallowed cove. Molly looked back with a weary grimace and threw Bill the stink eye. "Well. I guess that wraps up our Christmas heist career in style," she said, kicking over a trash can in frustration. Bill chuckled darkly, adjusting his underwear. "I tried to tell ya, Mol. You can't fault a baby, even a fancy one. Ain't nothin' more dangerous than a toddler with a score to settle."
