Molly crouched behind a garden gnome, staring up at the brightly lit house. Blue balloons barely moved in the breeze, revealing a party in full swing. The neighborhood children seemed oblivious as they rushed the house in various costumes, exiting the front door with excited chatter. "There?" Molly whispered, pointing to a child carrying a large gift-wrapped box toward a dropped bucket of streamers. "That's the target, isn't it?" Bill nodded, already moving low to the ground. "The big haul. Play it cool. Remember, it's not stealing if the party's over, right?" His eye twitched as the birthday cake suddenly appeared back in the window, unharmed. "Simpler parties should be a thing," he added under his breath, watching as a child's crying cut through the celebratory noise. "And fewer fire alarms."
