Molly and Bill crouched behind a colorful bounce castle, their eyes scanning the lavish backyard. Children's laughter filled the air as they chased each other through the lively party. Molly nurtured her frustration, forcing a smile. "Why are there so many children?" Molly whispered, squinting at the chaos. "Hey, somebody's gotta buy all these expensive toys," Bill replied, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Plus, it's July, they're just gettin' restless – we have a three-hour window before calmer times." Molly nodded, her eyes fixated on the neatly wrapped presents overflowing from a gift table under a flowering cherry tree. "All right, here's the plan: I'll create a distraction, and you snag the gifts. Just be quick and quiet, got it?" "Easier said than done when you could probably have your pick among them already." "Hehe, yeah, if only they cared enough to catch my attention.." The two thieves separated, Molly making her way through the garden towards the colorful balloons. She topped over to the balloon guy, who seemed to have a stable process for tying them. "How're those balloons holding up, pal?" Molly asked. "They're great, thanks for coming!" Balloon guy said with well- practiced cheer. "Ooh, nice pirates...Is Tin guy gone?" she whispered, trying to get closer to see the table. "What? Oh..." the balloon guy looked confused for a moment "I guess he is.." "I'm afraid you'll soon realize I can't catch 'em...Well, maybe after a taste of this." She reached out and popped a balloon right next to his ear. "Ah!" Balloon guy jumped back. "Wh-what are you doing?" "Oops, sorry about that, I just gots to be slippery syms..I'm gonna be back." As the balloon guy dove for a mop, Bill snuck up to the gift table like a shadow with a sack. He quickly stuffed it with as many presents as he could, his heart pounding. But just as he was about to make his escape, the birthday child caught him red-handed. "Hey! That's my present!" The little girl shouted, pointing at Bill. Bill froze, looking into the furious eyes of the child. He knew he was busted. "I, uh, was just borrowing it for a...a friend," Bill stammered, trying to backpedal. "Let's see," punched in a barred guy who pulled him up by his collar. "What kind of friend takes presents from children on their birthday?" Bill and Molly shared a look of desperation. They had underestimated the formidable foe that is, a child. "All right, that's enough!" Molly yelled, popping a balloon. "We're taking these presents, and you're not going to stop us!" She pulled out a bullet pen. The light gleamed off its magazine. "It's been faking it for too long. Come on, let's rock and roll." Bill nodded, and together, they rushed out of the party, with the birthday girl and her guests in hot pursuit. As they made their getaway, Bill couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. "Well, I guess we're more than just party crashers now, huh?" he said to Molly. Molly smirked, her eyes still wild with adrenaline. "You know it, buddy. We're gift-grabbers extraordinaire!" And with that, they drove off into the night, leaving behind a trail of chaos, laughter, and a whole lot of unwrapped presents.
