The parent supervisor clapped loudly once and sent them scurrying. "There goes the plan again. There goes the dignity again." Bill produced a shiny clipboard, looked down, then smiled broadly. "Party safety inspector. Nobody here ever questions a shiny clipboard." Molly grabbed the clipboard and began pretending to be busy. "Please keep balloons away from the presents. Safety rules apply." Bill nodded very slowly, as if these were holy rules. "Absolutely, yes, my sir. Balloons are enemies. We are allies." A tiny toddler waddled past carrying a stuffed green dragon. "Steal the dragon first. It is clearly a tiny scout." Bill saluted and then pretended to examine the enormous cake. "That cake is suspicious. I must inspect it again soon." Molly hissed at him while adjusting an invisible party mask. "Focus, dear Bill. Cake cannot help us carry all treasure." Bill placed a tiny hand mirror against his dark coat. "I can see presents in this mirror, yes I can." Molly leaned close and whispered right near the small mirror. "Do not ever fall in love with your own reflection." Bill straightened up with the dignity of a tiny king. "I am only gathering intelligence. It is truly a job." A bouncy castle popped loudly, scattering sticky little sugar children. "Chaos. Perfect chaos. This is the very best part now." Bill grabbed a red wagon and began stacking imaginary loot. "We need bows. We need ribbons. We need speed now." Molly pointed at the table and counted gift bags twice. "Forty two, forty two. I have never been so happy." Bill pulled a red feather duster from his deep pocket. "For dusting the evidence. We are really professional thieves now." Molly snatched the duster and waved it like a sword. "Lead on, Captain Bill. The presents await us, I think."
