Molly spread the flyer across the kitchen table like it was a blueprint for the Louvre. The paper was covered in glitter glue and a crayon drawing of a birthday cake with seven candles. Bill stood over her with a coffee mug in both hands, squinting at the time. It was three o clock on a Saturday and the house smelled like burnt toast and old plans. The good stuff is the Lego sets and the tablet and the noise cancelling headphones." Bill set his mug down very carefully. "You have a plan for the exit?" Molly said, "We exit through the garage with the catering boxes. We look like we're helping clean up. Parents will be grateful. Kids will be crying. We will be gone." Bill said, "And if a kid tackles us?" Molly said, "Then we give him a balloon animal and run." Bill laughed despite himself. "You're insane." Molly said, "Insane gets paid. Are you in or do I have to find someone with a smaller moral compass?" Bill picked up the flyer and folded it into his pocket. "Four o'clock. Clown makeup. And if anyone asks, we are the entertainment." Molly grinned. "Deal. I'll bring the duffel. You bring the excuses."
