Molly paced back and forth in the van's cramped driver's seat, skimming over her mental checklist. Bill lounged in the passenger seat, flipping through a flyer for the children's party. He glanced up, eyebrows raised. "You realize we're not exactly the target audience here, right? I mean, clowns and cotton candy at this 'Christmastime Carnival' should attract nothing but little ones." Molly sniffed. "And that's precisely the point. No one suspects a couple of grown-ass thieves at a kids' party, especially well-dressed ones." She smirked, reaching for her party hat and eyed Bill's with disdain. "You do know how to do the limbo, don't you?" Bill shuddered. "I'm going to need a lot of alcohol for this. But, sure, I can do the limbo—you know, back when we were kids ourselves." He ran a hand along the plush, oversized monkey he adorned as part of his 'Teddy the Clown' disguise. "So, we crash the party, grab all the presents, and then what? Sell 'em to a fence? What'll we tell the kid when they catch on that their presents are gone?" "Genius," Molly replied, flashing a crooked smile. "We'll distract them with a magic show. Get them to think the presents vanished into thin air. Watch out for that hairpin, I'll create a massive diversion with it. Kids'll be looking at my breasts instead of our left hands. Everybody wins. We steal, they have a magical experience, and a sorceress gets delivered to the lake of fire." Bill grimaced. "Burns might be fair, but..." He paused, thinking, before adding, "...wait, you know some magic?" Molly leaned closer, a mischievous glint in her eye. "Let's just say, there are secrets I've kept. And that's all you need to know." She flipped an arcane book open, revealing an array of potions and spells. The last words Bill heard before Molly sped off were, "Ready at three, okay Bill? Scatter the red husks."
