In a dimly lit room, the cigarette smoke swirling around them like wisps of fog, Molly and Bill huddled in the corner, their eyes locked in a conspiratorial gaze. Molly adjusted her ski mask, tugging the fabric a bit tighter. "We'll sneak past the parents," she hissed, unwrapping a pair of rubber chick-head masks. "Then, we return as the entertainment for the kiddos. No one'll suspect a thing once we've done our act." She handed Bill the rubber rooster. Bill raised an eyebrow and inspected it. "What's your chicks going to do, hatch the eggs and pretend they're real?" Molly grinned. "You'll see, just make sure you impress those little ones with your rooster dance." She uncased the walkie-talkie, adjusting the settings. "Albert's on entrance detail. The moment the music starts, they'll create a distraction outside." Bill nodded, donning his mask. "And you've calculated precise choreography?" He flexed his fingers, wearing oven mitts. "Already mapped out," Molly winked. "Watch the parents' reaction as we collect the loot, priceless. Now, listen, we'll grab the gifts tagged one and two while the crowd enchanted by our feathered chicanery." "And in the meanwhile," Bill smirked, clutching his bag marked 'Egg Collection', "Albert and the Worm get the third set." Molly affirmed with a grunt, slipping her own bag under her shirt. "Timing will be everything, Bill. If anyone catches on, your rooster performance better land us a standing ovation." Bill rolled his eyes, his voice laced with gentle sarcasm, "Hope I don't have to crow like a chicken to save the day." Molly chuckled, tossing him a squirt gun filled with clown-grade foam. "Better make everyone pee their pants laughing than lose our chicken feed." Bill stuck the foam firehose into the back of his pants. "Now, let's strut like we stole the show." They rose, adjusting their stances, bouncing on the balls of their feet like they owned the chicken coop. Molly led the way as they prepared to walk into that den of sugared-up children, with unbridled enthusiasm shaping their expressions into fowl caricatures. They exited, leaving the warmth of the shadows, ready to steal the hearts and presents of everyone in the room.
