Molly leaned on the fence that separated her from the mansion, scowling at the lights from the massive, sprawling house. Bill, standing next to her, pulled nervously on the brim of his hat. "Hey Bill, you see that tinsel-wrapped, present mountain over there?" Molly pointed towards a large pile, enticingly near one window. "That's what Christmas dreams are made of, my dude." "No way. You really want to pull a heist in the middle of a kids' party?" Bill's voice was borderline panicked. "Yep, and I've got it all planned out, Bill. Watch n' learn." She produced a map and a Sony Walkman from her coat, juggling both nonchalantly. "Mom and dad's distracted, we've got the audio from a white noise machine playing kid's laugh tracks. It'll be like a Noah's ark in here for the adults, and we just cruise through unnoticed." Bill's eyes flitted back and forth from the map to the house. "You know, we might actually get some help, not hinderance. Think about it. Guilt-free stolen candy and toys. Free stuff." He allowed a smile to creep on. Molly pinched his shoulder with a grin, "Good point. Now, listen up. We're coming in through the window here, 'cause nobody ever locks it. We toss the noise machine in—I'll handle the presents, you cover the back exit in case of messy Santa." "Got it, the little decoys'll let us in, but, what if—scratch that, no what-ifs. Let's just hope no one wises up to our master plan." "Oh, they won't. That's why we've got these costumes right here, disguises ready to blend in..." Molly unzipped her coat to show the stacks of plush reindeers and elf outfits. "Brilliant! I'm diggin' this Mr. and Mrs. Claus thing. Don't know why, but makes me wanna throw on one even if we're not heisting presents." Bill flashed a grin. Molly shrugged. "Only thing left is hand sanitizer. Last thing we need is a sickness outbreak on top of a heist right before Christmas." Bill burst out laughing, "Kidnap the Krampus and steal those toys, Molly! This is genius. Let's do it." "You bet, Bill. Merry Christmas, and let the stealing commence." Molly adjusted her scarf, her confidence a match for the twinkling lights around them.
