The car sped along the suburban street, tires screeching as Molly took a sharp corner. "Alright Bill, here's the plan. We crash the kiddie birthday bash, stuff our bags with gifts, and bounce before the piñatas hit the fan." Bill, busy checking his gun, replied nonchalantly. "Sounds like a hoot. Just make sure you don't slip on any juice boxes while we're on the job." Molly rolled her eyes. "Well butter my biscuit, what a novel idea! I'll take that under advisement." She pulled up to the curb of a lavish two-story, honking twice. "Go time, kid!" Molly grabbed a bag and hopped out, making a beeline for the front door. Bill followed close behind, admiring the gleaming Christmas lights already adorning the home. "Getting an early start, are we?" Molly paused, hand on the doorknob. "Remember, we only want to grab the presents." She winked. "And maybe a few of those sugarless gumballs if the mood strikes." Bill shrugged. "As long as we stick to the plan..." The door swung open to reveal a gaggle of grade-schoolers along with a festiveadır banner proclaiming "HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY TIMMY!" Molly's grin nearly split her face. "Sorry we're late! We had so much trouble finding the place!" The children immediately swarmed her and Bill, excitedly grabbing at the goody bags Molly offered. In the matter of minutes, they had the stash clear from the table, shoving fistfuls of toys and candy into bags. A man in an apron emerged from the kitchen, spatula in hand. "Uh, folks? Who are you again?" Molly winked at him, popping a candy cane in her mouth. "It's costume!" she chirped. "Get it? We're the 'Thieves Who Came to the Party'!" The man blinked. Just then, a parent bounded over. "Molly! Bill! I was hoping you'd make it! The Underground Santa told me you kids would be here!" Molly and Bill exchanged a puzzled look as the lady swept them into an embrace. "Merry Christmas! Look, Matty and Jenna have enough cake to spare if you're hungry." Bill let out a low whistle. "Well Molly, looks like we found the right house after all!"
