"Hey, Bill, you ever thought about stealing a kid's birthday present?" asked Molly as she stretched her neck to look over the chain-linked fence that surrounded the small play area. It was a warm, fragrant summer evening and the competing sounds of green grass being cut and laughter filled the air. "You know, it's sort of sweet in its own way - like a gift to ourselves," she said. Bill scratched his short beard and let loose a low chuckle. "You've got an interesting sense of humor, Molly." He glanced over his shoulder to scan the area, taking note of the half dozen cars parked haphazardly on the slope just outside of the play area. "Alright, but how are we even going to do it? They'll probably notice if we just walk in there." "There's this radial joint in the fence behind the playground," Molly pointed out, stepping over to the perimeter. "From there, we can scoot around the bend and slip on over into the house." She turned towards him, a mischievous grin pulling her lips into a crooked smile. "Bet we'll be long gone before they notice." "Alright, let's get it done," agreed Bill, leading the way back towards the vehicle used to transport their acquired items. He dimmed the headlights and rolled down his window to the back seat. "Might want to check those earplugs, too. You know, just in case." With a gratified sigh, Molly agreed, "Definitely," she said. "Let's focus on the job at hand."
