Molly and Bill, two of the finest thieves in the business, were inside an old warehouse on the border of town. It was a hot, humid night, and sweat was rolling off of their faces as they tried to stay hidden. The moon partially illuminated the dark warehouse floor, casting eerie shadows upon the walls. Molly looked through a pair of night-vision goggles, her eyes focused on what looked like a children's birthday party in progress. Molly: What's the plan, Bill? Bill: The plan, Molly, is to commandeer the party as two of the children's uncles. We'll mingle, steal their smiles and presents, and then be on our way, unseen. Molly: And if they suspect us? Bill: They'd have to be insane to suspect two uncles they've known their whole lives. They'll never suspect a thing. Molly: And we're stealing presents from kids? Bill: We're stealing presents, but not from kids. Hell, I don't see a kid at this party going anywhere near those presents so long as we're staying around. No one even wants to catch a scent of my fantastic cologne. It'll make those little bottoms whiff like roses on the way home from a long day at the park. Molly: So we might say something like, 'Gee, I wonder what's under all of these green and blue covers on each of these boxes?' Bill: You got it. Let's get out of here and put the plan into action, shall we? They part ways, with Molly heading for the front door of the party and Bill slipping off in the opposite direction. Molly enters carefully, making sure that she blends in with the other adults. After a few moments, she's managed to find Bill waiting by the corner. Bill notices Molly approaching and smiles, slightly amused by her attempt to become another one of the party guests. Inside the party, the children, oblivious to what was going on, just keep their eyes on the piñata that is starting to swing like a pendulum. Bill starts to pick up the boxes, and Molly keeps an eye out for the parents by making small talk. Bill: Good evening, everyone. I'm Uncle Bill, and I was just writing a moving speech in honor of the guest of honor. I hope I don't offend anyone while I'm trying to recite it. Molly: Those are some interesting colors, Bill. Were you considering a rainbow theme, too? Bill: Of course! Rainbows have to be the children's favorite, don't you think? All those pretty colors and goofy patterns, like a masterpiece of chaos. Just as more guests start to notice the sad, homeless shoes Bill was sporting, Molly gets a text message from Bill. She quickly confirms the timing of their departure and then, with one nod, they silently watch the piñata sway back and forth. The tension is with them as they eye the perfect moment for slipping away unnoticed. The perfect moment comes when the piñata finally breaks after a combination of the children's wild swings and the fail-proof string that Bill had subtly attached earlier. Suddenly, panic and chaos ensue. The children run and cry, parents clench their teeth as they call out each other's names. Amid the confusion, Molly and Bill disappear into the dark outside, confident they've walked away with the presents. The elderly couple throwing the party were left wondering, What the hell just happened?
