The scene unfolded with the two thieves, Molly and Bill, in their car parked down the street from a children's birthday party in full swing. The house was decorated with colorful balloons and streamers, the sounds of children's laughter and upbeat party music drifting out into the air. "So, here's the plan," Molly said, glancing over at Bill. "We sneak in the back, wait until the parents are distracted with the cake, then grab the presents and haul ass outta there." Bill nodded, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Sounds good to me. I'm thinking we hit the toy store on the way out - maybe grab a few more things for ourselves while we're at it." Molly snorted. Bad thieves! Get back here!" The birthday girl was pointing right at them, her face a mix of shock and accusation. The adults spun around, confused cries and exclamations filling the air. In an instant, the two were surrounded by outraged parents. "Oh shit, this is bad!" Molly yelped. "Quick, through the window!" They crashed through the glass and sprinted across the yard as the parents gave chase. The kids' delighted screams only spurred them on faster. Reaching the car, they tossed the sack of loot in the backseat and leapt inside just as the parents arrived. "Get
