You are an expert novel writer in the cozy mystery genre. Write a scene of about 200 words, with dialogue between two characters. The dialogue should be unattributed, meaning the speaker is not explicitly mentioned. The scene should be set in a small town bakery. Only return the story, nothing else.

The bakery was warm and inviting, the aroma of freshly baked goods permeating the air. Jenna stood behind the counter, wiping down the display cases. "I can't believe it,"
the customer said, her voice tinged with concern
. "Poor Mildred, she was such a lovely lady. And to think, someone would do something like that..." Jenna nodded solemnly. The shocking news had spread like wildfire through the close-knit community. she mused aloud
. The customer shrugged. "I'm sure the police will get to the bottom of it. Poor Mildred though, she deserved so much better. What a terrible way to end her life." As the customer paid for her baked goods and left, Jenna pondered the troubling revelation. A property dispute as a potential motive? It seemed far-fetched, but then again, people had been known to kill over much less. She would have to keep her ears open and see what other whispers she could pick up around town. In a place like Willowbrook, gossip tended to travel faster than a hot cinnamon roll fresh from the oven. And Jenna had a feeling she was going to need all the information she could get if she wanted to unravel the mystery surrounding Mildred Benson's untimely demise... <|end_header_id|>
