Molly peered through the window, her keen eyes scanning the brightly decorated party room. Streamers hung from the ceiling, twisting and turning in the afternoon breeze that crept in from the slightly ajar window. In the center of the room was a long table piled high with gaily wrapped presents in every color imaginable. The sight made Molly's mouth water with anticipation. This was going to be easy pickings. She glanced over at Bill, her longtime partner in crime, who crouched next to her. His grizzled face was split by a wide grin, his one good eye glinting with mischief as the other stared sightlessly off to the side. "What do you think, kid? "I mean, I know we're stealing and all, but at least we get to enjoy the loot a little first, ya know?" He held up a stuffed bear, its button eyes gleaming, and gave it a squeeze, eliciting a cheery tune and a wave of its fuzzy paw. "Hey, whataya say we keep a few for ourselves? As a little reward for a job well done, like?" Molly paused, considering, as she tucked the last few packages away. "Hmmm... I don't know, Bill. You know we have rules. Everything we take gets fenced and split, no exceptions." "But c'mon! A few
